Staying in Zermatt

Zermatt lies at the foot of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the Alps. The village is car-free: people get about on foot or in small electric taxis, in the atmosphere of a village resort that has retained its weathered chalets and bustling narrow streets. Above, Europe’s highest ski area rises to 3,900 metres, with glacier skiing available all year round.

Our flats are located in the village itself, within walking distance of the ski lifts and Bahnhofstrasse. Check-in is self-service and bookings are made directly with us, with no platform commission — the best price for a property that’s already in short supply.

Winter

Three areas — Sunnegga, Gornergrat and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise — offering over 350 kilometres of sun-drenched slopes, stretching all the way to the cross-border ski area of Cervinia on the Italian side. Summer skiing on the Théodule Glacier rounds off a season that never ends.

Summer

The Gornergrat railway climbs up against the backdrop of the Matterhorn; the Five Lakes Tour offers a view of the peak’s reflection in the water; and hundreds of kilometres of footpaths lead out from the village. Zermatt remains cool and bright whilst the Rhône Valley heats up.
